Function
1. xylanase is used in pulp bleaching to remove xylan and loosen lignin, improving brightness.
2. It allows mills to reduce chlorine or peroxide use, cutting chemicals and AOX formation.
3. Xylanase pretreatment helps maintain pulp strength while achieving higher whiteness.
