1. Lysozyme, also known as muramidase or N-acetylmura-mide glycanohydrlase, is an enzyme that can hydrolyze mucopolysaccharides in pathogenic bacteria.
2. Lysozyme has a broad antibacterial spectrum, and is effective against Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria, as well as some viruses.
3. It is safe and non-toxic to the human body, and has no side effects.
